I love being a birthday party entertainer

I admit it.  I love my job.  I absolutely love it.  I don't have a typical workweek or workday.  Sometimes the events can be sporadic, and sometimes overwhelming.  But I love what I do to earn money for my family.   I have a special offer at the end of this blog to help you lover birthday parties too!   I have met many entertainers in the upstate of SC.  Some started out years ago doing birthday parties, but now they say they have moved on to "bigger and better things."  Not me!  I truly love being a birthday party entertainer.
 Oh sure, the library shows, corporate picnics, and other big events are nice and profitable as well.  But you just can't beat the great feeling from birthday parties.  The area where I do most of my work, Greenville, SC is huge.  Plus I get bookings in nearby Anderson, SC and Spartanburg, SC regularly as well.  That means that on any given weekend, Joy Set Entertainment could be entertaining at up to eight birthday parties.  On one weekend, we had 12.

Why do I love being a birthday party entertainer so much?  First of all, I like seeing families celebrating.  There is a lot of pressure on families today.  It is great to see a mom and dad taking some time to celebrate the truly important things in life, their kids.  The job stress, the car repairs, and all the other problems will still be around the following Monday, but kids don't stay young forever.

Secondly, I get paid to play.  I get to tell some corny (but always clean) jokes.  I get to make balloon animals or balloon hats.  I get to paint faces.  And then I get paid to do it.  Don't get me wrong, I have invested much time and money into improving my skills as a birthday entertainer.  But it is not like work to me.

I think the biggest reason I love being a birthday party entertainer is because of how much the kids enjoy themselves.  They laugh at the jokes, they are amazed by the magic show, and they love the balloon twisting and face painting.  There is something special about the innocence of a child enjoying life, and I get to experience this all the time.  I would like to end this posting with a special offer.  If you book a birthday party before October 31, 2009, and say "I love birthday parties."  we will take $20.00 off any of our party packages.  Check out our birthday party page for more information.  And yes, you do have to say it out loud to get the discount.
